Build useful things.
Grow strong communities.
ODL is an established education nonprofit. We help people learn by making things together. For Blackfeet communities, we can support teachers, connect local mentors, and turn good ideas into hands-on projects.

What ODL can bring
People. Practical skills.
A clear plan.
Bring people together.
Connect students, families, teachers, and local makers. Plan projects that help the community and give everyone a useful role.
We can prepare: mentor plans, family activity days, and student showcases.
Learn engineering by doing.
Engineering means solving a problem by designing, building, and testing. Students use math, tools, and teamwork to see what works.
We can prepare: lessons, simple models, design drawings, and project journals.
Keep the work organized.
Give each person a clear job. Keep track of materials, dates, and progress. Help teachers spend more time with students.
We can prepare: schedules, task lists, supply lists, and short progress notes.
Blackfeet voices guide the work
Start with what matters
to the community.
Blackfeet communities choose their goals. BFCC teachers and leaders guide the learning. Community representatives decide how culture, language, and stories are shared. ODL helps build the lessons and organize the work agreed together.
One project. Many useful skills.
A small bridge.
A big learning moment.
Students can draw a bridge, build a small model, and test how much weight it holds. They measure, compare ideas, make changes, and explain what they learned. Families and local builders can join a showcase of the students’ work.
Choose. Draw. Build. Test. Share.
Each step grows skills students can use at school, at work, and in their community.
Take the next step
Choose one useful project.
Start with a small group, a local question, and a clear goal. Together, we can plan what students will learn, what they will make, and how the community can take part.
